OnePeak Medical, a PE-backed pioneer in functional medicine, is redefining primary care across Oregon—and they’re seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to lead HR strategy, standardize processes across locations, and optimize recruitment and onboarding to support their rapid expansion.
Overview: The Vice President of Human Resources will be a key member of the senior leadership team at OnePeak Medical. This role will provide strategic HR leadership to support OnePeak’s rapid expansion, overseeing HR functions for 250 FTEs across 16 locations as well as oversight responsibility for all provider recruitment, including direct management of a recruitment and onboarding team. The ideal candidate will bring strong HR generalist experience, a track record of scaling HR operations, and a proactive approach to navigating complex employment regulations.
The Vice President of Human Resources will be responsible for elevating performance of the HR department, standardizing HR processes, and ensuring compliance with multi-state labor laws. The VP of HR will work closely with senior leadership to create a seamless employee experience, enhance recruitment efforts, and implement best practices for organizational growth.
VP of HR Key Responsibilities:
🔹Strategic HR Leadership & Compliance
- Lead OnePeak’s HR strategy, overseeing payroll, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with wage, licensing, and leave management requirements.
- Partner with leadership to develop HR policies and programs that align with OnePeak’s expansion.
- Oversee the compliant administration of FMLA, OFLA, and other leave types.
🔹Recruiting & Talent Development
- Oversee recruitment efforts for 10-12 open general staff roles at any given time and ongoing recruitment efforts targeted specifically to healthcare providers.
- Build and streamline a scalable hiring, onboarding, and training process to support rapid growth.
- Implement manager training programs to equip clinic leaders with HR best practices.
🔹HR Operations & Team Management
- Lead and oversee the HR department, managing the HR Generalist, Payroll Manager, and Payroll Assistant to ensure efficient operations.
- Develop, implement, and refine HR infrastructure to drive consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all locations.
🔹Employee Experience & Process Optimization
- Own and refine the new hire orientation and onboarding experience to drive retention.
- Standardize and improve HR processes, including leave administration, performance management, and employee relations.
- Ensure HR practices support a culture of accountability, high performance, and growth.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 6+ years of experience as a Director of HR, with a track record of scaling HR functions in a growing multi-location organization.
- Strong HR Generalist expertise, with experience in recruitment, payroll, compliance, and employee relations.
- Experience managing leave administration, with an understanding of Oregon employment laws and a pragmatic approach to workforce management.
- Skilled at building and standardizing HR processes to support rapid expansion.
- A proactive and strategic leader who can navigate HR complexities while driving business success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
